Introduction
Herpetology Research Station is located at Kund at the junction of Indus and Kabul.This center  started working in 2005.The ultimate aim of this center is to develop base-line information on amphibian and reptilian fauna of Pakistan, including, species distribution, biology, status and present threats. The station is also trying to master the techniques in rearing and maintenance of important amphibians and reptile species (as the management of station is trying to carry out biological studies in a more organized way)

Research Station Facility

This research station is fully functional for conducting any kind of  field and laboratory studies respective field.

Objective

  The immediate objectives of the research stations include.

  • To train the staff for modern biological techniques necessary for herpes  research conduction

  • To study the present status and distribution of Herpes species.

  • To develop facilities in culturing and laboratory maintenance of  different species.

Research Conducted
